But brioche is already an enriched bread (has sugar and butter) so, you may find it too sweet. Can I add sugar to the egg wash for soaking the brioche? The fat content of these products is just too high and you'll end up with a heavy toast with a soggy centre. I would, however, skip using single, cream, double cream, or coconut milk for soaking your eggy bread. Also, soy, almond, rice and oat milk all work really well. You can use, any kind of dairy milk, whole, skim, whatever you've got.
